Functional Pieces
I started painting at about the age of
seven and continued through my early
twenties. At twenty three I put down
my paint brushes and started
woodworking. A few years later I
discovered a piece of marquetry.
Marquetry is an art medium which
borders on craft, using wood veneers;
carefully selected, cut and assembled
to create an image of incredible
beauty. Since that time, I have been in
love with the art form.
